Another Day, Another Police Chase Involving Innocent Driver

Doraville, GA – June 4, 2025 – The Perazzo Law Firm is representing a victim who was violently struck during a high-speed police pursuit that tore through multiple counties and ended in a fiery collision on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near I-285.

What began as a stolen vehicle sighting in Brookhaven around 11:30 a.m. quickly escalated into a multi-agency chase that stretched across unincorporated DeKalb County, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Gwinnett, and finally Doraville. The suspect, driving a black Nissan SUV, weaved through city streets like a pinball—recklessly endangering everyone in their path.

At one point, the suspect caused a collision near Mount Vernon Road and Oxford Chase Way, yet continued fleeing authorities. The chaos ended only when the stolen vehicle collided with several innocent motorists—one of them now represented by The Perazzo Law Firm.

“News reports have stated no one was injured in this incident. That is patently false,” said Attorney Jonathan Perazzo, founder of The Perazzo Law Firm. Our client was transported to the hospital. And we will be pursuing every legal remedy available. This is 2025, there is no reason to be chasing people down winding roads, risking the lives of innocent motorists. Our client could have been killed. And for what?”

This isn’t an isolated case—it’s part of a growing epidemic on Atlanta’s roads. From Peachtree Street to I-285, high-speed pursuits have become a recurring scene, putting innocent lives in the crosshairs. Just last month, similar incidents claimed multiple lives and caused extensive injuries, leaving local residents and safety advocates demanding reform.

“Police departments today have access to technology that allows them to safely track suspects without endangering the public. When the suspect’s identity is already known, continuing a high-speed pursuit isn’t just unnecessary, it’s reckless and shows a lack of strategic thinking. The number of officers involved in this particular chase was excessive. That manpower could have been used more effectively by securing intersections, coordinating aerial surveillance, or deploying GPS tracking devices. These tools exist for exactly this type of situation, and failing to use them is simply unacceptable,” Says Perazzo.

The case is currently under investigation. The Perazzo Law Firm is actively working with local authorities, reviewing dashcam footage, and building a case to ensure accountability. The injured client, whose identity is being withheld for privacy reasons, is recovering and receiving ongoing medical treatment.
